Wimbledon. This is, without question, the tournament of tournaments. SW19 is steeped in history like no other. Simply, it is the most famous LAWN in the world. From the summer delights of strawberries and cream, champagne and pimms, Wimbledon has the lure like nothing before or since. Fans from all walks of life, clamber to see, feel, taste and be apart of what is the championship. Tennis fans, sports fans and the everyday Joe. The championship began in 1877 with 22 male players and in 1884 introduced the first Women's championship. For such a traditional event they were certainly ahead of the world in terms of equal rights and Women's rights. We take our hats off to this prestigious, classic and most enjoyable tennis spectacular. Enjoy the next two weeks of tennis, white outfits and English as it was meant to be spoken.
